Manageability
Elite CMS’s built in management features allow you to remain in control by creating multiple sites with each site potentially having many users with differing permissions and responsibilities.
How can Elite CMS help your organization manage the users that manage the content? Elite CMS employs a flexible yet easy to use technique for separating users into logical groups and then assigning permissions to them individually to further enhance security.
- Break organizational units into logical "sites" that each can have their own distinct domain name. ISPs should create at least one site for each customer. Any number of domains can be assigned to a site.
- Assign users to a site. If using the integrated POP3/IMAP mail server, you can assign each user a mailbox and any number of e-mail aliases (users can be a member of multiple sites if that is desired).
- Designate a role for each user. If a user has access to multiple sites, that user can have different roles in each site. Roles include site-admin, editor, content creator and read-only.
- Restrict a user to operate on a subset of a single site. For example, only have access to a particular two folders.
If you use the integrated POP3/IMAP mail server or the integrated FTP server, the same user database will be used for all services ensuring that passwords and user accounts are all updated at once.
Further more, all bandwidth and disk space used by the CMS is tracked and associated with the account that used it. Reports are automatically generated weekly or at whatever schedule you prefer. Page, E-mail address and individual feature item counts can be allotted to a particular account.
